Interviewer ( The following “I” ) : Hello !

KANG-SAN ( The following “K” ) : Hello !

I : How was the speech that you’ve done at an entrance ceremony on behalf of the whole student body?

K: It was my first experience, so that I felt tension very much. I had no room to look toward freshmen.

I : It is so. By the way, I’d like to know what made you start to study English?

K: When I was a child, I watched Japanese historical drama called “HISSATSU SHIGOTONIN” with my grand father. This drama was really interesting so that I decided to study Japanese.

I : Then you started to study Japanese in TAIWAN, weren’t you?

K: That’s right. And from the age of 18, I have studied Japanese at a language school.
At first I felt Japanese was easy to learn in comparison with English.

I : There are many common “KNJIS” . By the way, when was your first visit to Japan?

K: When I was an elementary school student, this was with my family that we visited “DISNEY LAND”, “NARA” and so on.

I : How did you like Japanese foods?

K: I felt them delicious, especially “TAKOYAKI” and “CHIKUWA” were my favorites. Now a days “TAKOYAKI” is sold even in TAIWAN, but its taste is entirely different.

I : Really !? You have been in JAPAN for about a year, how’s your life in JAPAN?

K: Because of the strong yen rate, a price increase a lot.

I : As the yen state continues for a while , it is difficult in financially for the foreign students to live in JAPAN . What do you basically do after school?

K: I study hard. Sometimes I go “KARAOKE BOX” with my friends, and sing animation songs.

I : Do you sing Japanese animation songs ?

K: Yes, but I’m not a good singer...

I : Are you going to enter the graduate school in this coming October aren’t you ?

K: Yes, I’m going to study Economics. After graduation, I hope to work in JAPAN. If it is difficult, I will succeed to the company of my father.

I : What dose your father’s company do ?

K: His company produces and sells Sewing machines, and has a relationship to “BROTHER”.

I : Wow !! Relationship to Japanese company. Lastly would you give some advices for the person who wants to study in JAPAN to get used to the life of JAPAN smoothly.

K: Please be positive to speak Japanese. For example, at convenient store, speak in Japanese to the shop assistant. Reading papers, watch TV News are also good things.

I : What do you think is the important thing about studies ?

K: In my opinion, “REVIEWING” is very important.

I : So, students will get into the school of their preference like you. Thank you for your good advices.
